Experience handed down.
Ambition carried forward.
The Atwood business story stretches back to 1867. Across six generations, it has evolved alongside the people, properties, and communities it serves.
The start of a business history
that continues to evolve.
Experience creates
perspective.
A lasting business learns from each chapter and makes room for the next.
Our earliest work brought real estate and mortgage lending together. Later generations established new businesses, expanded the family’s presence in Mankato, and connected its brokerage to CENTURY 21.
That history helps explain the Atwood Companies today: distinct businesses shaped by related needs, from a property transaction to financing, ongoing management, and an agent’s changing career.

A broader business.
A personal connection.
Our companies serve different needs, but each has a direct relationship with the people who rely on it. Customers work with the team whose expertise fits their situation.
Behind those businesses, OneAtwood provides a shared destination for our agents and employees. It is the team side of a company story that is still developing.
